Signing of the EU Association Agreement

On 27 June 2014 Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and the The European Union signed the economic part of the Ukraine–European Union Association Agreement on 27 June 2014. "In Kiev and elsewhere, people gave their lives for this closer link to the European Union," the President of the European Council, Herman Van Rompuy, said at the signing ceremony.
